VA hospital destroys Christmas decorations

The South Texas Veterans Health Care System bureaucrats in charge of the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital decided that a banner on a model train set was offensive because it had the words "Merry Christmas" on it. News 9 reports that VA staff not only removed the banner, they also destroyed part of the train set and took a manger scene displaying Joseph, Mary, and the Baby Jesus. Hospital employees have been ordered not to say the words "Merry Christmas" to veterans or to play Christmas music for patients.

The hospital will be open for Christmas, but Christmas isn't welcome there.
