A&P Stands Firm For Christmas

We recently posted that the A&P intended to keep a number of its Pathmark stores and pharmacies open on Christmas Day, using employees who volunteered to provide groceries and medications to shoppers who might otherwise go without. In the face of attacks from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, A&P has reponded with the following statement:

“A&P is committed to being the store of the neighborhood and serving the needs of our diverse customer base. Therefore, we have made the decision to open some of our store locations with limited hours on Christmas Day.”

Three cheers to A&P for putting the needs of the community first this Christmas!
